Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow... NOT

HELP! We've been snowed in! Someone come and rescue us. Call 911, call the ASPCA, call my mom! lol Just kidding. Actually we have had a winter weather storm warning in effect since Friday evening at 6pm and its supposed to continue until 6pm tonight (Sunday). There's also still a possibility of snow for Monday and we're been buried under a pretty hefty blanket of snow already. They were calling for 16-20 inches of snow and we just might get it.


Now, take into consideration that this winter there has been barely any snow at all. The total snow fall up until this point had been 12.2 inches. Last week we had 3 days where it was well above freezing and we saw grass everywhere! There was barely any snow left at all and now this...

Baby update

Well, our first trimester is nearly over. I'm
starting to feel a little better and the morning sickness is not lasting all
day! PTL. I was home in Winnipeg from February 11-14 and had numerous
appointments. The results from my blood work look good and the doctor was
pleased. I also saw the geneticist. He offered some testing options
and we've decided to go ahead with an ultrasound on March 5th. We'll be
able to see baby for the first time and I can hardly wait. I also see Dr.
Taylor on March 7th. Hopefully we'll be able to hear the baby's heartbeat
at the appointments. We're continuing to hope and pray that baby is
healthy and growing strong.

Amazing...

We had an AMAZING weekend in Minneapolis with my mom, Mike & Jodi! On Friday night we went to the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis to watch Cirque du Soleil Delirium. It was AMAZING. The whole production/performance was extraordinary. Amanda was spectacular! After the show, we got to meet up with her backstage. Thanks again Amanda for hooking us up to see the show! What a great date-night
for Chris and I. Typically our Friday night date nights are a movie at the cheap theatre, so this was totally cool.

Mom and I drove home to Manitoba on Sunday and had a really great trip. Monday I had 3 appointments and all went well. I have to be back again on March 7, which is just a few weeks away. I'm REALLY hoping that the weather warms up for that trip. I'm ready for winter to be over so we can get out of this deep freeze we're currently in.

I'm spending today with my Grandma Knox and can't wait to see her! She asked me to have lunch with her, which is always a treat. I'll be heading into Winnipeg a little later in the day and then heading home tomorrow to Minneapolis.

Just one more sleep...

Until our company arrives! It will be great to have my mom here for a visit, and nicer still that Mike and Jodi will be bringing mom. It will be their first visit to us here in Minneapolis!

Mom and I will be heading to Winnipeg on Sunday and it looks like I'll be busy with appointments - no big surprise! I've got 3 appointments on Monday and another on Wednesday. I'm hoping and praying that this new little miracle of ours is growing healthy and strong.
