Its been a VERY LONG time since I had a chance to update.

Wow, where does the time go when you're having fun? All I know is that our lives have been very busy but very good over the past 9 months or so. I don't know where to really begin, so I'll give a few highlights to cover up the months we missed and bring us up to date.

JANUARY - I began babysitting a little girl named Anya 3 days a week. They played so well together and it was the highlight of Liam's week. Liam also got his first tooth in January and tried solid foods for the first time!



FEBRUARY - Liam had his first experience with a babysitter, Breanna. Mommy and Daddy went out to dinner and a movie for Valentine's! He did great, in fact I think he slept through most, if not all of the evening. He also got his second tooth!


MARCH - Our little man began sitting up all by himself and was the cutest "Lucky Charm" for St. Patrick's Day.


APRIL - We went home to Manitoba for a quick visit. Christopher had to take a week off so we could have a break and be home for Liam's pediatrician's appointment. Our little man weighed in at 14 pounds 4 ounces at 6 months old! Liam also met his Grandpa Knox for the first time while we were home.


MAY - Wouldn't you know, the day after we came back home from our visit, Liam began crawling! May was my first experience with Mother's Day and my beautiful little boy. We went out to iHop for breakfast. Liam was a little too young to bring his Mommy breakfast in bed. Maybe next year?


JUNE - Guess it was Daddy's turn. June was Father's Day and Liam got his Daddy a new t-shirt and a tie. Off to a great start with the Father's Day gift "tradition". Liam also turned 9 months old and took his first few steps on June 18th. Grandma and Grandpa Notley came for a visit and so did Grandma Knox and Great Auntie Glenda.


JULY - We celebrated our 3rd anniversary on July 1st and took advantage of having my mom visiting. She looked after Liam while Christopher and I went out on a date for our anniversary to Steak & Ale. YUM! We also began packing up all of our belongings and said "Goodbye" to Bloomington and moved back to Canada. Mom and Dad Notley came down with a huge rental truck and we packed everything up and headed for home in Winnipeg once and for all. Liam also got his 3rd tooth, the first one on top! Oh and how could I forget? Official became a walked on July 19th when he took off and never looked back. He's been on the move and hard to catch ever since!


AUGUST - August was a busy month! Our first priority was getting settled into the Notley's basement and making it our new home. Liam had the first bath in the new bathroom that Grandpa and Grandma worked so hard to have finished before we came home. We had so many friends to see and family to catch up with and we tried to cram it all into one month. Liam went out to visit Baba in Austin at the beginning of the month with my mom and I. Christopher and I went to Rainbow Stage on the 5th with Mom, Mike & Jodi. It was a great evening! We found out that night at dinner that Mike and Jodi were pregnant and making Liam a little cousin to play with. I had a huge garage sale to get rid of a bunch of belongings that were taking up space. It was a huge success! Christopher studied for Canadian National Board exams and Bumpa celebrated his 90th birthday. Oh, and Liam also got teeth numbers 4, 5 and 6! They all seemed to pop through within a few days of each other.


Well, that pretty much brings us up to September. I'll leave that for a separate post so I can make that it's own highlight!

Whew... I did it! lol

Christmas has come and gone... and now our little boy is 4 months old! WOW

Here are a couple pictures from our Christmas holidays in Manitoba. We spent nearly 3 weeks visiting family and friends, staying with Mom & Dad Notley!

Here's Liam on Friday when he was officially 4 months old. He fell asleep in his swing and looked so irresistably cute!

He's eating solids too! Our little monkey is 12 pounds 3 ounces and nearly 24 inches long. Here's a video of him enjoy his food this evening.

3 months old!

Its official, yesterday Liam was 13 weeks old. The 4th marked 3 months since we were blessed by the birth of our son. He's now 23 inches and nearly 11 pounds.

He's growing up so quickly. His personality is really starting to blossom. He loves his daddy and he'll giggle when we play with his arms and legs or blow on his tummy.

He's starting to sleep through the night but occassionally he'll wake up around 5:30 or 6, eat and then go back down until 8 or 9.

My how our little boy is growing!

Time sure does fly when you're having fun! Life with Liam has been busy and exciting. He's growing and changing so much and we're so proud of him and all that's he's accomplishing. He's learned how to roll himself from his tummy to his back in the last couple of weeks and he's exploring his world with lots of enthusiasm. He really enjoys his toys and seeing the world and everything in it. I'd have to say that his favorite thing is still his Daddy. When Daddy comes home from school, Liam has nothing but smiles for him and his whole face lights up. He gets so animated and excited when Daddy picks him up and plays with him.

Tomorrow Liam will be 11 weeks old. He's just over 10 pounds now and 22 inches. He's gained almost 4 pounds and grown 3 inches already.

Liam's First Halloween!

I know I'm a little behind on posting pictures of Liam's first Halloween, but I thought better late than never!

He had a very busy day. We started out by going to school to have lunch with Daddy. Liam dressed up in his pumpkin onesie and added his Halloween bib and his black cat hat.

After we got home, we took some pictures of him just in his onesie with his Halloween pumpkin.


At 5 o'clock, we headed back to school in Liam's dinosaur costume for the community party and so Daddy could show Liam off to all of his friends at school.


When we got home at 6:30, Liam changed into his farmer outfit, complete with his John Deere cowboy boots from Grandpa Knox and handed out candy all evening to the trick-or-treaters that came to our apartment.


His first Halloween was a busy one!

Splish Splash Liam is...

Having his first swim! Here's our little boy enjoying being in the pool. He did great! He didn't fuss or cry in the water and managed to stay in the pool for about 10 minutes. I look forward to taking him down to the pool often. He was so cute in his little swim trunks and he's an avid floater already.
